Monday: Easy 50 min solo on trails, 10 min bike, felt tired. 2 sets of plyo's, Upper body weights, Core Tuesday: 45 min for 7 in morning in rain. 25 min warmup, 20 x 200's every 60 seconds,averaged 32 seconds so the rest was 28 seconds (goal was 33 seconds). Ran w/ Hotls and Phil Mack, 25 min cooldown. Felt easier than I expected leg weights Wed: 50 min solo for about 7-8 miles, 10 min bike, 2 sets of plyo's, upper body weights, core Thursday: 60 min solo, 10 min bike, 2 sets of plyo's. Legs felt real sore, delayed onset muscle from Tuesday, not used to going any sort of spee Friday: 48 min for 7 in the morning w/ Paul. 25 min warmup, 5 mile tempo on track (goal was 5:20 pace) first one of the year, solo. 5:19,5:19,5:18,5:18,5:06. Felt too light so I picked it up the last mile. Ok with it, but in 8 weeks I should be able to run 4:55 pace or so, a lot of work to do.
Sun: Oh man, this was a rough rough run, Paul was one step in front of me for 2hours, a horrible run. Bad poop issues, dehydrated, no sleep on all roads, I wanted to be done at mile 3........but had to run 16 more.
89 miles for the week total. Felt like shit on the easy days but the harder days went decent (minus that long run day, don't want to remember that day) |
